It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.
1. This morning, I got dinner for two families in the crock pot. All I'll have to do later is make the sides and then deliver it. That might not be a small success as I'm directionally challenged. I think it was God's way of giving OTHERS the gift of laughter watching and waiting for me to arrive places.
2. We've been making lots of memories this week (hence the lack of "me"/computer blogging time - which is just fine!!). I can't wait to make a Spring Break entry about heading to the mountains, an old fashioned drive in, playing in a mountain creek, an indoor water park, and time with family and friends! We also baked pretzels as a Lenten activity yesterday - they were yummy and just fun to do something together!
3. Even when I thought I did NOT have the energy to clear the sink of dishes, and pick up some toys last night, I did. It didn't take as long as I thought. I really would have left them (I don't notice messes in other people's homes, we are harder on our own homes I think) but I wanted to vacuum the floors for safety before a playdate starts later in the morning here, and I needed the sink to prepare the crockpot this morning. Plus, we're hosting Easter at our home, so I needed to start cleaning for that.....
Post your Small Successes below in the comments or on your blog! I'd love to read them!!!
Thankful Thursday
1. I'm thankful for time with my sister and niece this week. We don't get together enough!!!!
2. I'm thankful for my two beautiful girls. I've had the best time with them!!!
3. I'm thankful for the friends coming over today to help stuff goodie bags for the egg hunt this weekend. It'll be fun to talk together as we do it!
4. I'm thankful for the start of Holy Week and all the services, Spirit, and traditions we'll be living the next few days. I'm grateful for Lent being a time to reflect and grow as well.
5. I'm grateful Hubby has been forgiving all the times I've "lost it" with him this week with stress since coming home from the mountains. This has NOT been my best weeks (ironic and sad because of the meaning of this week, lol) in my charity and emotions within and towards my family. No matter whose fault it is, I need to make it a point this week to LET IT GO!!!!
6. I'm grateful I still have not planted the veggie garden because of the freeze!! YEAH!! We'll plant next week!
7. I'm VERY grateful our special sweet neighbor is safe after a hard encounter this week.
