So, I started the Friday Five last Friday. Basically, it is a list of five things going on in my life, or, if there are any readers out there - you can ask questions I can try and answer. It hails back to a friend's blog 3 years ago!
1. I hope to start our garden again this week. I need to clear out the overgrowth and weeds from the area, and do a soil test (and redo the fences), but after taking a break last year, I'm ready again. I think we'll make it a bit smaller. Less tomato plants (maybe 1 or 2 vs 4 last year, I could not keep up) and more common veggies (squash, cucumber, pole beans, zucchini, lettuce). I have a busy spring break, so we'll see what gets done. It needs to be soon though!
2. Valiant had her 9 month baby appt this morning at 9:15 am. She's napping now, but she wasn't due for shots! WOW! I had assumed we would. It went well, but she is like her sister - small. He is not too concerned (especially since Lovely is just fine though still short and petite); just watching it like he did with Lovely, but even he forgot briefly she is 9 months old when he walked in! She is 15 pounds, 13 oz, and almost 26 inches long. She is 10% for height and weight. Hubby and I appear to make small children, and he in puberty needed growth hormones, so it is just something to watch. Her size probably is what makes her less anxious to crawl, pull up on furniture, etc which are the more "normal" milestones for a typical 9 month old. She's still toothless too. At least she's mastered sitting up tall, grabbing at things with her hands, using her thumbs, etc. She will reach for things out of reach but doesn't try to crawl or creep toward them. She also is not an "oral" explorer. Everything stays in the hands and away from the mouth.
3. Today is Lovely's last day of school before Spring Break. She is having a school Easter Egg hunt and party, so I'm sure will be coming home with lots of goodies. She's staying for lunch today, so when I'm done eating a late breakfast and blogging this, I've got time to "Fly" around the house and straighten and start some laundry. Then post carpool....NAP!
4. Tonight is the last Fish Fry at church. Last week it was fun to see D, M, and others - so I'm really excited to go again tonight. We always have a great time sharing a meal with them and the community. I wish Hubby could come with us. Maybe we can take the kids to the playground afterwards instead of face planting and body jumping off the stage (BaaaHaHAHAHA. And M wondered why I first kept Lovely off the stage before loosening my rules).
5. Our Spring Break plans? This weekend starts it off with working on the garden, and maybe having family time Saturday. Sunday I play a song at the 11am Mass, then either stay home the rest of the day, or go ahead to my sister's house with the girls and hang out till Tuesday. Wed we'll meet up with our friends we are going to Disney with in early June, and then home for the rest of the week and Easter. We may do a group Easter Egg Hunt sometime Fri, then get ready for the family times and fun of Holy Week. I'm sure it will go fast. I hope to get lots of extra sleep!!! And yes....hopefully we'll stay HEALTHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Share your Friday Five! Have a great weekend!! TGIF!!!!
