1. I completed my 30 day Challenge this past Monday!!!!!! I worked out (with scheduled rest days) boot camp style the last month and loved it. It was very empowering to start something, and finish it, without getting bored. I credit that to the Wii Active which switches things up, so it never got repetitive. I'll start another challenge next week. I'm doing some walking/resting up as I battle what feels like a head cold coming on.
2. I've really enjoyed cooking this week. I've been trying new foods including meatless meals, tofu noodles, homemade sauces, etc. I strive to be the cook that my friends are!!! You know who you are...and you ain't CRANKY to me!!
3. I've functioned this week. With 2 sick kids, little sleep at night, and the feeling of a head cold coming on for me...I've been fighting back and little else has gotten done. I got a quick escape Tuesday visiting our friends (and that felt good - makeup and real clothes?? REALLY?) but otherwise we've been in the trenches, and it feels good to see things have gotten better in a faster amount of time then normal.
How's your week been?
Thankful Thursday
This week I'm thankful for....
1. feeling connected again.
2. the returning health of my family.
3. friends who remind me what an honor it is to be the one the kids want at 1, 2,3, and 4am - even as I feel I'll lose it. Cause, it is. Really.
4. being able to be at home with my kids everyday.
5. my parents.
6. my marriage and incredible husband!
7. my precious girls.
8. hidden blessings, unanswered prayers, small miracles.
Many warm thoughts, blessings, and love to your day!!!

Wonderful successes, especially with sick little ones in the house. Hope you are all feeling better soon. God Bless!
ReplyDeleteVery impressive successes. I'd love to stick to anything for 30 days let alone exercise. And just surviving when everyone is sick is a success let alone functioning. Congratulations! Keep up the great work! God Bless
ReplyDeleteWow! 30 days of exercise! That is terrific! Sorry to hear that you are fighting the ickies over there.
ReplyDeleteSounds like we've had a similar week, my friend. Hang in there. But, seriously, 30 days of exercise? You rock!
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to reconnect soon. Sorry this week won't work out.
God bless!
30 days! I am impressed, and still trying....
ReplyDeleteBut, I love #3. Yes, sometimes just functioning is a success!
Awesome successes this week!
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic discipline you have to complete your 30 days! WooHoo, go you! I have a hard time doing anything longer then a week.
I hope you get to feeling better soon!
May God bless the rest of your week.
We've been fighting off the first wave of headcolds of the season. With two teachers in the family, the germs are a constant bombardment, but we've had great luck with a regimen of herbs and supplements!
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone is on the mend! Great job!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the 30 Day Challenge! Glad to hear everyone is getting over being sick.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!
Glad to hear everyone is starting to feel better. I know it's no fun when the kids are sick, especially the babies who don't know how to tell you what's wrong. Hope you're able to keep that head cold at bay!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is awesome that you competed the challenge!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone is feeling better soon! God bless!
