Wordless Wednesday - "Need Lipstick" and "Appreciate YOU" Edition

Below are two pics from 2005. One, is a young, 2 year old Lovely, covered in my lipstick (you know something is up if they get TOO quiet....) and the other was from a work Christmas party where I taught high school. Lovely's pic just made me smile (and where did her precious curls go??!!) and for the party pictures I wanted to post it because at the time it was taken, I had voices in my head telling me I was fat and not good enough. I never really enjoyed the picture. I look at this ViolinMama of the past, before two kids, and want to tell her - "Stop it you smoking hot MAMA! You are blessed with a body that is healthy and works and you are a beauty in and out!!" Why is it we women hate pictures we take today, but then appreciate them tomorrow? We need to just embrace today!!

Now...as for hubby's goatee....I'm not embracing it...HAHA! Looks cool, not fun to kiss!

    You are right, we are too hard on ourselves...we're only getting older, so we'd might as well enjoy ourselves today! :)
