AND Thankful Thursday!!!!!"It’s important to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that."
My successes this week are more God's successes - but they are the top 3 of my Thankful Thursday list!!!
1. My mom's cataract surgery on her eye went SO well. She can now see perfectly out of both eyes, read signs, and books even better! Yippee!
2. My dad's heart procedure went PERFECTLY. He's back in normal heart rhythm. He's so healthy - we are grateful!!!
3. Lovely's adenoid removal surgery went SWIMMINGLY today. It was over in 20 minutes. Recovery was longer, but she was a trooper! She did better than mommy and daddy (on the inside lol).
God IS Good! Thanks for YOUR prayers!!!
I'm off to bed...more tomorrow. I'm emotionally and physically wiped out!
***Do other people out there ever have success at forgiving themselves for missteps? I'm not too good at it, and would like to get a weight off my heart for a mistake I did that I took personally on my end. I guess time will tell.

Thanks be to God on all fronts!!!
ReplyDeletethat is great that your mom and dad had such good outcomes health wise.
ReplyDeleteMy second child had his adenoids out 12 years ago. he was a trooper too and did better than me.
So very happy to hear your news! Praise be to God. And to your question, yes! That is a big accomplishment :)
ReplyDeleteGreat news about all the surgery. I imagine this is agreat relief.
ReplyDeleteRelax and enjoy now
God Bless
What wonderful news for your parents & Lovely! I'm so glad everything went well for all. What an emotional, busy week you've had! Hope you can relax & enjoy your beautiful family this weekend.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers go out to you for the weight on your heart. I think forgiving ourselves is sometimes much harder than forgiving others. Peace & blessings!
Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWow! No wonder you're wiped! Glad to see that all of the procedures and surgeries went well this week! God Bless you!
ReplyDeleteV- I'm so glad all went well ... I wondered about you yesterday! About your little question at the end, would it help to go to confession? Sometimes being reminded of God's infinite mercy for us helps us to be merciful with ourselves. I also think that when we hold on to things that He has forgiven us for, it can be partly the sin of pride, "I know better than God does the nature of my error and how I should be "punished" for it..." Does that make sense? If the Father has forgiven it, you must defer to that forgiveness, trust it, and move on out of obedience to Him. God bless you!
ReplyDeleteHey would you pray for me? I am anxious about a great many things and it is keeping me from precious sleep! Looks like we both need to trust in the Lord, eh?
