Man, I have been so busy this week. I haven't had time to really post any thoughts or record our lives since last week (namely a lot of my focus was here for next year), but I will say this week has been a very special, CRAZY one.
I feel like I haven't had many tangible successes when I look at this blurred week - but I can grasp at some. I'll try to be quick...I have quite the morning ahead of me!

1. I was able to type out the thoughts for a 60th b-day layout (each guest brings a page for the total scrapbook). Sadly, I can't get my pics to print...so it's an almost success! Hopefully by tomorrow evening!
2. I've gotten a lot of prep work down (and invitations made - Thanks M for helping me cut) for Lovely's 6th b-day on Sunday. Still loads of work to go....but it will get done.
3. As I write this, before the cacophony of awake and hungry children, breakfast dishes, and spilled toothpaste - the house is straight - I give it about 1o more mins this way.
How did you do?
Thankful Thursday
This week I'm VERY thankful for...
1. Very tiny children.
2. my fantastic hubby.
3. Lovely's very cute comments like "Oh my Goodness....[fill in blank]"
4. Valiant actually crawling today (and funny me was thankful when she went back to scooting...I love her unique way of doing it lol).
5. fantastic friends.
6. prayers.
7. hubby's job.
8. food on our table.
9. walks around the neighborhood.
10. smiles.
Much love!!!!

SO glad I'm not alone with that toothpaste thing...it seems to me that by the year 2009 SOME innovative, creative woman SHOULD have designed something to help us with this by now!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Lovely. I like the scrapbook page idea for 60th birthday.Lovely thankful list.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
I'm already dreading all the work of First Daughter's third birthday. It seems all our friends have such elaborate parties and planning such things is definitely not my strong suit. I hope she has a fabulous day!
ReplyDeleteWe are currently planning my grandmother's 80th birthday/60th wedding anniversary party. What a great idea for a party - a collective scrapbook!
ReplyDeleteEven if you know it may not last longer than 30 seconds, isn't it wonderful when the house is straight!
Congratulations on your wonderful week!
I love #3 :)
ReplyDeleteHey there - looks like you are still trucking along! I had to laugh and share this link about the toothpaste:

There is a solution to at least one of the dramas!
Good for you on your successes, and also I enjoyed reading your homeschooling posts... it was good to review why I am doing it, too. Blessings on you.
Lot's of great successes this week. Job well done! We did a scrapbook for my Mom's 60th birthday and she loved it. Good luck with the party this weekend. Happy Birthday Lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove #3 . . . in our house it is more like 5 minutes after the boys wake up!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for such fun and sweet comments!!! Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this week's happiness on my computer screen! :)
