Day 09 - Five Things I Want To See Change.

Oh my! I could go so deep with this, or political, or spiritual - but I taught all day today in our school and I'm so wiped! Mondays are long after a weekend off (good, but long!).  Instead, because of the little brain power I have - I'll go "lite" on ya.

Five Things I Want To See Change:

1. In my house - I'd like to see our family stay on top of organizing our respected areas or house maintenance on our own and on schedule, than me have to harass or vocalize what I see constantly. I know I could easily research, make a plan, or ask others what they do to accomplish this, but I get so tired of it being ME that makes the plans or seems like a nag, lol. But, I'll ask - what do YOU do?

2. In the bank - I'd like to do better at saving $$ long term portfolio wise. I feel so girly in this area. I'm great at saving money in a savings account, making budgets, I'm great at couponing when I make the time, and I'm ever improving in cooking vs eating out - but keeping that $$ saved or know what the heck to invest it in - I'm in need of education. I know if I worked things would change, but we made a decision for me to stay home and we love it - but I worry about the age of retirement for us too. I honestly want more kids too, but we need to stay on top of things in a one income family too.

3. In myself - I would like to be more confidant, less scared, more strong, and not care about others more than myself (but then I feel guilty about being selfish...oh SUCH a fine line!). Also, that isn't worded as I want - I am wired to care. I mean the whole "too much" or "at a cost." Hmm, not sure what I'm trying to say - but it doesn't mean I don't love dearly those I love! Hmmm....I'll have to think of the wording.

4. In my community - I would like to see things change around me in terms of taking care of each other. I know that just conflicts with what I said above (me focusing more on me than others) but I feel it does take a village, and when I see others suffer, children hungry, schools lacking support, homelessness, etc I just wish we could all share the load and embrace our communities. Maybe it would create more accountability in our elected politicians.

5. In my country and world - I'd like to take #4 and extend it to my country and our world. We are all so connected and needing the same basic things with PEACE being at the top of the list that I am so confused why we can't work harder at fostering what we need. If we took children from every culture or nation and put them in a room, they would find a way to play - or work through their squabbles to play. Why we lose that ability as adults is beyond me.

Those are my 5 basic things. I could ask for way more, or different categories....but those are my cliff notes!!  I welcome any tips or ideas!

  1. I love the way you broke this up into different areas and I LOVE your last two sentences of #5. I've never thought of things that way, but it is SO true!
