Small Successes and Thankful Thursday "Onwards!" Edition

FaithButton

1. I've been able to keep up with a load of laundry a day and folding said load, and it has helped me stay in control of it! YEAH!!!

2. I've taken more time for rest this week than last. I've tried to get a nap every day, AND go to bed earlier. Yesterday, evening dinner time just blew up in my face with a screaming baby, incessant 6 year old talk, and a hubby who forgot to tell me he had to work (I understand!) so I was a single mom in the evening, but I went to bed early, took tylenol PM, and awoke to a new, fresh day, feeling fresh! I will, though, take a morning nap around 9:30am LOL!

3. We've been chugging along at Lent. I've tried to keep my bag a day (or catch up bags every few days) and I have really enjoyed the Lenten Meditations each day giving me sacrifices or additions in my day. Holy Heroes is great for Lovely, and Hubby is surviving without soda and is doing the 40 bag thing as well - sometimes better than I am! One of the days this week I used the link on my sidebar to do some catch up 3 min retreats when we had to do 5 mins a day, 3 x's a day for our Lenten Meditation goal, and this one really spoke to me (links to all of them are posted if you follow that link). Some days I feel I'm more connected than others, but I love what I'm learning in this process.

How was your week?

Thankful Thursday
This week I am thankful for...

1. graces from God.
2. prayer time with Lovely at night - it saves the day if we've been had a rough one.
3. my Hubby and girls!
4. This pregnancy, the son inside, and turning 30 WEEKS TODAY!!!! WOW!
5. Wonderful friends.
6. being reminded how blessed I am, and not taking my life for granted.

Much love!

  1. Good for you, getting more rest! It is so important to be well rested. You'll be a better mommy and wife for it and rest is truly important for your new little blessing.

Hang in there, you're doing great!

  3. Okay, you've done the laundry & folded it, but have you put it away? LOL! That's always my problem. It will sit in baskets for several days sometimes!

Getting rest for yourself is GREAT! I LOVE your sidebar photo...You look beautiful & yes, you are blessed! Peace & love!

  4. Good job on the laundry. It's amazing how much easier it is to do a load or two a day vs. 6 or 7 in a day. I feel for you on number 2. My husband gets home close to 7PM most nights, so I alternate who I eat dinner with. The girls always get crazy around dinner time. Hiding from them doesn't help since they always know where to find me!

  5. WOW! 30 weeks! When did that happen??!!

I need to get back into the swing of a load a night, too. It makes everything so much easier.

Good for you! You've inspired me -- yet again!

  7. Way to go with the laundry! Mine is washed... but it's sitting in a giant clean pile in the basket in the living room. I keep waiting for the Folding Fairy to come take care of it, but so far no luck... Maybe she got lost, or stuck at the bottom of the pile....

Getting more rest is great. It's so important to be well rested; that's something I really need to work on.

Congrats on 30 weeks! You're almost there! You'll be holding your little boy before you know it.
