2nd Week of Advent

 

We finally have our (new) advent wreath up and running. My childhood one is packed in storage, but this one was a lovely wreath found by Hubby (he scored some great points!) as it has delicate features, and the words Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love carved by each candle. As a replacement/'stand in' wreath - it is VERY special. I think it is the perfect focal point not only during this Advent season, but THIS season of my life - our lives.

We said a family blessing for the wreath, and sang two verses of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel."

Now, if this doesn't remind you what is REALLY important, what makes a home, and one DOES have blessings from above - than what possibly can as a parent?
