I'll tell you two ways:
1) Post Katrina New Orleans NEEDED and DESERVED this. Such spirit!!!! Loved that!!!
2) These images of the Brees. I got choked up looking at it on the TV live as it happened. I was glad to find the images online here. What a moment for a father and his tiny son. Maybe I got teary cause I'm pregnant, or maybe because I have seen the same look my husband give my girls at big moments in his life - when they are all he sees no matter what else is happening.
Pretty amazing, huh? Drew's eyes just got me...

I was trying to remember what Drew Brees' pic reminded me of from our past, and I dug these up from 2004. Here is Hubby in the hospital recovering from one of the treatments and major surgeries he needed and seeing baby Lovely for the first time in days. His face and eyes said much the same:

Whether it is the 44th Superbowl, or the "Superbowl moments" of life - there is NOTHING like a father's love for his children. Nothing. Thank God for unconditional love.

Awwww, yay for fathers!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Hooray for dads!
ReplyDeleteI loved this part of the Super Bowl as well. Just fabulous to watch. However, the pictures of your hubby and sweet little girl take the cake. Absolutely wonderful!
