Pray for Haiti. Need ideas and links for donations? Go here to The Anchoress.
Also...something this devastation has reminded me of. When the clean up begins, and the cameras leave and another news stories takes the headlines, remember Haiti. Pray and give. Also remember those in need around you - we get so used to the devastation around us that we don't see it anymore. Does it have to take the earth moving under our feet to see it?

1. S and I have kept our work out schedule! It's been so nice and empowering to do something for both our physical health, and get some endorphins that boost our emotional help too. It has helped I've finally felt better! I can breathe, and I've been sleeping better. This week has been so much better. I feel so blessed.
2. The laundry is under control!!! I've kept up with it this week! YAY!
3. I've gotten back to cooking this week, and cooking healthy. It's been so satisfying to make some meals for my family. Tonight I made homemade whole grain chicken enchiladas and guacamole salad. After a tough news day, sitting around the table with my family with a hot meal was VERY gratifying. I'm immensely grateful. See pics below!
Thankful Thursday
This week I'm thankful for...
1. my health.
2. the ability to see, hear, walk, run, feel, smell, and taste.
3. having enough clean water and food to drink and eat, while having access to medical care.
4. the ability to keep my children warm, fed, and protected.
5. the health of my husband.
6. the health of my children.
7. my husband's job and our home.
8. miracles big and small.
Much love!!!!

Great job! I esp. like your addition of Thankful Thursdays. Yes, in addition to our successes we have a lot to be thankful for don't we?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the prayer reminder! It's so easy to get wrapped up in our own little lives & not think about how bad others have it. I've been trying hard to think of others lately & my prayer life has increased so much in the past couple weeks. Between Haiti, problems friends of mine have been facing, & other stuff in the world, my troubles don't seem so big.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your successes! Those enchiladas look delicious!
Your guacamole salad looks delicious! Would you be willing to share your recipe? Kudos on the exercise routine. A dear friend's dad's mantra is "If all you've done in a day is pray and exercise, then you've had a good day."
ReplyDeleteGod bless you today.
Great list, and thank you for sharing pictures again. Would you perhaps share recipes too.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the successes. We are blessed indeed to live where we do and have what we have. I pray the Haitian people feel the love of Our Lord through those who hands will be there to help.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Grace to you...
