HAHA! I guess it would help it I hit PUBLISH!!! Sorry if this was MIA!
Well, I've had some successes 'round these here parts lately. Not a lot of energy to ramble (but I bet I will!) so I'll just right on to it!
1. I have not been feeling myself, or all that energetic lately. Valiant and little Gift have been waking up at various times at night, and it has felt vaguely like having twins. Gift is teething (he has a tooth just this week - I need to do a catch up post!!!), and I'm not sure what Valiant's issue is. But, between that and hitting that 4 month mark post partum with all my hair falling out, and feeling VERY emotional and hormonal I've just felt a little lot tired, blah, boring, and simply pulling my hair back in in a pony tail or bun, not wearing makeup, and just getting by in life. That wasn't helping. So...I found my swagger again in cutting my hair. I'm feeling more perky these days and it takes less time to style shorter hair, so I'm inspired to try a little harder on ME and I end up feeling much more girlie and human!
2. While I'm not doing anything drastic, I also started thinking my lack of zest for life could be coming from my poor cooking/eating habits (again) and not choosing the best foods and getting enough water. So, following the advice from my Small Steps meditation book - I made some steps to get back into healthy habits. I got out my Weight Watcher materials and food journal paper and I've started to write down all the foods I eat which really helps me make better choices! I'm still exclusively breastfeeding, so I need to eat well for him - so I'm not "dieting" but I am making better choices and life style changes (point wise, I get tons of points for breastfeeding to avoid dieting) and I hope I can continue the progress. It is helping me meal plan, etc. I hope this helps me overcome being tired and dragging so much. this will also help my family and their meals!
3. While not much has gotten done around the house - my greatest successes (which I share with Hubby) are my incredible kids!!! I'm SO blessed!!
How are YOU doing?
Thankful Thursday
This week I am most grateful for....
1. sleep when I can get it.
