Divine Mercy Sunday and Blessed JPII!! (Updated)

Today was a special Sunday! It is Divine Mercy Sunday, a day I'm getting more into every year. I love the prayers, the meaning, and today is a VERY special day, as Pope John Paul II gets beatified and becomes "Blessed JPII". I grew up with JPII, and he was so vibrant, cool, spiritual, and a true rock. It was a great day to record our participation in.

We also spent the rest of the day outside. Pictures to come of a wonderful day on the mountain and hiking with the family.

**UPDATED** This evening, Lovely wanted to go with her Daddy to his Sunday "job" - playing flute at the evening Mass at the Cathedral every Sunday (we attend morning Mass at our parish together as a family). It may start a new tradition. She LOVES LOVES LOVES the Cathedral, and I daresay does better at Mass there than in our home church with participation and prayerfulness. She sat by herself (but near where Daddy played) and was introduced to the people she was sitting by, and helped the soundman during Mass as well. Hubby also took this picture....when she is at the Cathedral she LOVES all the stain glass, statues, prayer chapels etc., and he snapped this pic on his phone. It was so sweet on Divine Mercy Sunday.
